World-class stadium design

Crowd circulation at the inner-city venue will be facilitated by 10 metre wide concourses, while multi-level atriums, lifts, escalators and stairs will deliver spectators efficiently to their relevant tier. 

The Oval will deliver 77 per cent of seats under cover, comparing favourably with AAMI Stadium (44%).

The atmosphere inside Adelaide Oval will be something to savour, with high quality sound delivered throughout. Three giant replay screens – two located at the south and a 180m2 screen in the north – will mean you won’t miss a thing.

Wheelchair and enhanced seating will be provided across multiple tiers in all stands.

Getting to Adelaide Oval

FREE Public Transport: Footy Express


The Adelaide Oval Footy Express will provide high-frequency bus, train and tram services for members and supporters during the 2014 Toyota AFL Premiership season.

Footy Express has been developed to make it easy and convenient for patrons to attend games at the venue.

With the new Riverbank Bridge – and its connections to the Adelaide Railway Station, the tramline and a range of bus routes – catching public transport to the Adelaide Oval will be easy!

 

Car Parking


There are thousands of existing city-centre car parks located within close proximity to Adelaide Oval for match day patrons. The Club has also negotiated special member rates for several of these stations.

There will be a limited number of on-site car parks to provide for those with a disability and supporters who like to enjoy a BBQ before the game.

Park and Ride


Park n’ Ride facilities are provided along the Adelaide Oval Footy Express tram stops and train stations with approx 6250+ parking spaces available.

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure are working with the Adelaide City Council on further parking opportunities such as Bonython Park.

Will daily tickets be available to the general public for Crows home matches at Adelaide Oval?

A limited number of daily tickets will be available to the general public in season 2014. Tickets will be available online via afc.com.au/tickets with full on-sale information to be released soon.

Due to the demand for tickets in season 2014, supporters will need to purchase daily tickets well in advance avoid disappointment.

Become a Bronze member for only $8.50 per month on a 10-month Easy Payment Plan and receive access three 2014 home games, along with priority to purchase additional daily tickets.

How will I get to Adelaide Oval?

Adelaide Oval will provide limited on site car parking, along with special member rates for parking in commercial CBD parking stations.

The venue is serviced by FREE Footy Express public transport services. The system, linked via the River Torrens footbridge, comprises connected bus routes, six metropolitan railway lines, and the Glenelg-Adelaide-Hindmarsh Tram.

How will the facilities be better than AAMI Stadium?

Comprehensive design work has gone into ensuring a redeveloped Adelaide Oval will deliver a user-friendly spectator experience from the moment fans enter the stadium. 

Crowd circulation at the inner-city venue will be facilitated by covered concourses up to 10 metres wide, while multi-level atriums, lifts, escalators and stairs will deliver spectators efficiently to their relevant tier. The stadium will deliver 77 per cent of seats under cover (45% AAMI Stadium).

The atmosphere inside Adelaide Oval will be something to savour, with high quality sound delivered throughout. Three giant replay screens – two located in the southern pockets of the ground (125m2 each) and a 180m2 screen in the north – will mean you won’t miss a thing.

The redevelopment will have a number of features unique to stadium design. These include BBQ decks, outdoor hospitality facilities on the Village Green and standing room on the grassed northern mounds. There will also be unique views from the dining rooms into the stadium, the parklands and the city.

The inner-city venue will also feature family and restroom facilities well in excess of national standards, food and beverage facilities no more than 40 metres away from any seat, 2000 dining spaces, corporate capacity of 3,800, multiple replay screens and 10 metre wide concourses.

How can I experience the view from the stands now?

Members and supporters can now now navigate the Club's 2014 home ground with the Adelaide Oval Virtual Venue.

Appointed for the first time in Australia by the Crows, the technology showcases the view from every seat within the inner-city venue.

Will there be a Post Match Supporter Function at the new venue?

The Club will continue to hold a Post Match Supporter Function after each home match as is tradition. There will be many pre-game dining options available at and in immediate vicinity of the Oval.

Will disabled and mobility impaired patrons be catered for?

There will be four times the amount of disabled and mobility impaired seating at Adelaide Oval compared to AAMI Stadium.  All disabled areas will be undercover and serviced by lifts and elevators.  Adelaide Oval and the Adelaide Football Club are affiliates of the Companion Card Program.

When will the redeveloped Oval be complete?

All parties are working towards the Adelaide Oval redevelopment being complete in March, 2014.

What will be the venue's capacity at project completion?

The redeveloped Adelaide Oval will incorporate a seating capacity of 50,000.

The new Southern and Eastern Stands will seat about 14,000 and 19,000 respectively while there are also 3,000 new seats in front of the Northern mound.

In addition to seated capacity, the grassed northern mound will allow standing room for 3,500 supporters including Adelaide Football Club General Admission memberships.
